How Long 'Til Fall Break?

Updated: Sep 8, 2018

Holy freakin’ schnikeys! They’re baa-aack!

The last three weeks have been a whirlwind of new students, faculty meetings, school-wide procedures, PLC meetings, early morning duty, 90-plus degree weather and the a/c isn’t working, lunchroom procedures, pretests, COGAT tests, full-to-the-brim classes, team meetings, classroom procedures, grade level meetings, schedule changes, more new students, special ed meetings, oral language assessments of students we just met, more meetings, more procedures, peer observations, new teacher meetings, iPad setups, wonky wifi, 6th graders who can’t spell their names and don’t know their birth years, last minute changes, and, by the way, you need to do the child abuse training before tomorrow or you won't be able to be in the classroom with kids. And don’t forget to vote! (I didn’t forget, you can bet your booty!)

Feeling a bit frazzled, to put it mildly.

In other words, I’ve been busy. That’s why I’ve been silent the past few weeks.

I’m on my 13th year of teaching, and I’m exhausted along with all the rest. I’ve already gotten a pedicure and a massage in order to relieve some of the stress. I encourage you to MAKE time for yourself to reboot often! Remember, YOU are the only one who can take the best care of you!

Here's a list of ways to get some stress relief!

If you haven't already grabbed my FREE e-book, Simple Procedures That Save Your Sanity, get it NOW! It contains four sets of procedures that you can use on DAY ONE, plus ready-to-post-and-implement printables!
